Constitution of UT Level Insurance Committee in the UT of J&K
Government Order No.: 872-JK(GAD) of 2025 Dated: 09.07.2025
Sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of Union territory Level Insurance Committee, comprising the following, to monitor and supervise the implementation of UT Insurance Plan in the Union territory of Jammu & Kashmir
Terms of Reference :
i. To suggest measures to create awareness about insurance products/services and increase insurance penetration in the Union
territory of J&K.
ii. To prepare and implement insurance plan, including the affordable insurance products in Life Insurance and General insurance sectors.
iii. To distribute target under annual insurance plan across the Insurers based on their capacity.
iv. The UTLIC shall meet once in every quarter to review the performance of insurers in both life and general insurance sectors.
