GCET Jammu B.Tech Admission Notice
Application on prescribed form are invited from eligible candidates for admission to B.Tech Programme 2nd Year/3rd Semester under Lateral Entry Scheme in Government College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu for the session 2025-26 in following disciplines:-

APPLICATION PROCEDURE : Application Form can be downloaded by the eligible candidate’s w.e.f 09.07.2025 available on the college website: www.gcetjammu.org.in
Candidates belonging to General category are required to pay application fee of Rs.800/- and the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD/EWS category are required to pay a fee of Rs. 500/-The Fee should be in the form of Demand Draft in favour of Principal, Govt. College of Engineering & Technology, Jammu payable at Jammu.
Mandatory: Hardcopy of the Application Form and requisite documents along with Demand Draft should be sent through Post or in-person to Principal, Government College of Engineering & Technology, Chak Bhalwal, Jammu -181122 by or before 25.07.2025.
ELIGIBILITY:
The Applicant must:
* be a Domicile of J&K UT.
* have passed three year’s Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc (Non- Medical). However the candidates appearing/appeared in 6th Semester Diploma Examination/Final year B.Sc can also apply to appear in LESET 2025. Such candidates have to produce their original marks cards before or at the time of counselling/selection, if they figure in the list of the candidates qualified or called for counselling as the case may be. If a candidate has been called for counselling but has failed to produce original marks card in the qualifying examination, he/she shall not be considered for admission.
NOTE : There is no upper age bar for Admission to Engineering Courses.
INSTRUCTIONS:
a) No under process certificate will be accepted.
b) The information provided by the candidates in the online Application Form is verified from the original documents at the time of Counselling and Admission. If at any stage, it is found that a candidate has provided false or incorrect information in respect of any eligibility condition(s), his/her candidature will be cancelled without any further notice.
c) Reservation as per the Government rules in vogue.
d) The sports category candidates have to indicate their sports category on the Application Form. They are also required to submit their Sports points at the time of counselling issued by the Secretary, J&K Sports Council Jammu/ Srinagar.
e) The candidates having more than one reserved category shall get benefit of the category indicated in the Application Form, which in no case can be changed. The candidate, whose category certificate is not found valid, will be considered in open merit, if otherwise found eligible without any further notice.
f) In case of receiving adequate number of applications, the college shall conduct its own entrance test/online test for admission to the said programme. Admission shall be based strictly on the merit obtained in the entrance test/online test or academic merit, as the case may be.
