GMC Rajouri Final Selection List Released

Final Selection of Junior Resident pursuant to Written Examination (OMR Based) held on 05-02-2026.

Whereas, Government Medical College, Rajouri conducted a Written Examination (OMR Based) on 05-02-2026 from 12:00 Noon to 01:30 PM for selection/engagement of candidates as Junior Resident;

Whereas, the Provisional Answer Key was notified vide Office Notification No. GMCR/2025- 26/8975-78 dated 05-02-2026 inviting objections within the stipulated time, and no objections were received;

Whereas, the Result/Merit List was declared vide Notification No. GMCR/2025-26/9191- 9197 dated 20-02-2026 on the basis of evaluation carried out in accordance with the Final Answer Key;

Whereas, as notified vide Office Notification No. GMCR/2025-26/5660-5666 dated 21-01-2026, & GMCR/2025-26/5729-5735 Dated 27-01-2026 selection was to be made purely on the basis of merit obtained in the written examination and, in case of tie, the following criteria were to be applied:

1. Higher aggregate percentage of marks in MBBS;

2. In case of persistence of tie, preference to the candidate senior in age;

Whereas, the above tie-breaking criteria were duly applied while determining inter-se merit of candidates securing equal marks;

Whereas, consequent upon the above and strictly on the basis of merit obtained in the written examination, the Final Selection List is annexed herewith as Annexure- “A” and the Waiting List as Annexure- “B”, in compliance with Government Order No. 383-JK (HME) of 2024 dated 20-06-2024 (Clause V & VI), which mandates maintenance of a Waiting List valid for a period of three (03) months;

Now, therefore, it is hereby ordered as under:

1. The candidates as reflected in Annexure- “A” to this Order are hereby declared Finally Selected in Government Medical College, Rajouri.
2. The selection is strictly provisional and subject to:
o Verification of original documents;
• Fulfilment of eligibility conditions;
o Character and antecedent verification;

3.• Applicable Government rules and institutional norms.

Mere figuring in the Selection List shall not confer any indefeasible right of appointment beyond the terms notified.

 

The Waiting List (Annexure- “B”) shall remain valid for a period of three (03) months from the date of issuance of this Order. In case of non-joining or mid-tenure vacancy, appointment shall be made strictly in order of merit from the Waiting List.

Consequent upon the above, the finally selected candidates are hereby directed to report to the Office of the Registrar (Academics), Government Medical College, Rajouri on 02-03-2026 for counselling and completion of requisite formalities. Thereafter, the
formal Joining Orders shall be issued from the Office of the Principal

Failure to report for counselling/joining within the prescribed time shall result in forfeiture of candidature without any further notice, and the vacancy so arising shall be filled from the Waiting List strictly in order of merit.
