Government Medical College, Srinagar has invited online applications from eligible candidates for Fellowship in Neonatology at the 500 Bedded Children Hospital.
About the Unit
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Postgraduate Department of Pediatrics, GMC Srinagar is accredited by the National Neonatology Forum (NNF) of India as a Level IIIA NICU.
The Government Children Hospital, associated with GMC Srinagar, is a 500-bed pediatric hospital providing specialized care in:
Pediatric Cardiology
Pediatric Gastroenterology
Pediatric Hematology
Pediatric Ophthalmology
Pediatric Surgery
Pediatric Neurology
The Postgraduate Department of Pediatrics is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and offers 17 MD Pediatrics seats annually.
NICU Facilities
The Neonatology division includes:

125 cribs
24 ventilators (including 2 HFOVs)
12 Bubble CPAP machines
HHHFNC systems
7 high-end incubators
Echocardiography and Ultrasonography machines
Amplitude EEG
Masimo central monitoring system
Transport ventilator
In-Born Unit
50 cribs
8 ventilators
12 Bubble CPAP machines
The hospital also operates a High-Risk Newborn OPD twice weekly and has a District Early Intervention Centre (DEIC) for follow-up care of high-risk neonates.
