JK High Court Important Notification regarding 16 Posts
1· Whereas, in terms of the Advertisement Notification No. OS of 2024/RG/GS dated 08.08.2024, online applications were invited
for 16 posts of District Judges (Entry Level) in pay Level J-5 (144840-194660), under direct quota.
2 · Whereas, pursuant to the aforementioned notification, some Prosecuting Officers submitted their applications and had represented for consideration of their application forms against the aforementioned post of District Judge, which representations were rejected in view of the recommendations made by the·· Hon’ble Committee for Higher Judicial Service in its meeting held on 10.07.2024, approved by Hon’ble The Chief Justice, in terms of order dated 31.07.2024.
3. Whereas, the Prosecuting Officers whose representations were rejected in term~ of the order dated 31.07.2024, referred to
above, preferred various writ petitions bearing WP(C) Nos. 1596/2024, 1613/2024, 2131/2024 and other connected petitions.
4. Whereas, Hon’ble Division Bench of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, while considering the aforementioned writ
petitions, passed an interim order dated 30.08.2025, the relevant part of which is reproduced as under:
