JK High Court Various Posts Syllabus, Eligibility criteria and Selection criteria/ Test structure

In exercise of the powers conferred by Rule 6 of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court Staff (Conditions of Service) Rules, 1968, Hon’ble the Chief Justice has been pleased to prescribe the eligibility criteria, selection criteria/test structure and syllabus for conduct of Online CBT Examination for filling up the post of Compositor, Level-2 (19900-63200), as per Annexure-“A” to this order and the same shall form part of the High Court Order No. 579 dated 24.10.2008.

Eligibility Criteria for the post of Compositor, Level-2 ( 19900-63 200).

”Graduation from any recognized University with minimum one year certificate Course/ Diploma in Computer Application from a
recognized Institute”.

Note : However, the candidates possessing qualification of Bachelors of Computer Applications/Computer Science/B.Tech in Computer Science/IT or any degree in relevant field of Computer Application etc. need not to possess a separate Certificate Course or Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized Institute, as prescribed above

The selection criteria/test structure for the post of Compositor is as under :

i. The test shall comprise of an online computer based written examination carrying 80 marks;

ii. The interview shall be of 20 marks;

iii. The duration of the Computer based Written Examination shall be of 80 minutes;

iv. The question paper shall comprise of 80 questions and each question shall carry one mark. Each question will contain multiple choices;

v. There shall be no negative marking;

vi. There shall be no cut off point or pass marks in the written examination, and, instead, the candidates shall be called for interview in the ratio of 1:5, i.e., five candidates against one vacancy on the basis of their merit obtained in the online computer based written examination.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Rule 6 of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court Staff (Conditions of Service) Rules, 1968, Hon’ble the Chief Justice has been pleased to make amenament to the eligibility criteria for the post of Junior Assistant, Level-4 (25500-81100), as mentioned in the High Court Order No. 579 dated 24.10.2008, in the following manner;

“Graduation from a recognized University with minimum six months certificate Course/ Diploma in Computer Applications
from a recognized Institute”

Note : However, the candidates possessing the qualification of Bachelors of Computer Applications/Computer Science/B.Tech in
Computer Science/IT or any degree in relevant field of Computer Application etc., need not to possess the Certificate Course or Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized Institute as prescribed above.
