J&K Sports Council Notification

Whereas, 2 applications on prescribed format were received by the J&K Sports Council in response to the notification dated 11-10- 2022 for grant of sports category weightage to claim benefit for admission in M.SC Tech (SKIMS) Courses 2022 under sports quota

Whereas, the applications were scrutinized on 10-11-2022 by the committee constituted for the purpose under Govt. Order No:- 808-GAD of 2008, dated:- 17-06-2008 read with Govt. Order No: – 590-GAD of 2018 dated:- 11.04-2018 in terms of criteria in vogue; and terms and conditions laid down in the notifications issued for the purpose.

Whereas, the one candidate figuring at serial no.1 as per the list Annexed herewith as Annexure ‘A’ of this notification has been found eligible by the committee and points awarded for their sports achievements as mentioned against each.

Whereas, one candidate appearing at serial No/as per list Annexed herewith as Annexure ‘A’ of this notification has also been found eligible subject to verification of their certificate from concerned Federations.

Whereas, the committee has also recommended to conduct Physical Verification Test/Mva of the eligible candidates at Srinagar/ Jammu to ascertain the proficiency of the game/sports opted by the candidate.

Whereas, the committee also recommended that applicants should be asked to submit track record of lower level competitions/ domestic activities during the physical verification test/viva to ascertain the genuineness of the participation in National events.

In view of the above, objections/grievances if any with regard to eligibility of the candidates including points allotted/observations to their sports achievements made by the committee are, therefore, invited which should reach to this office at New Administrative Block, J&K Sports Council, Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar on or before 18-11-2022 during office hours in hard and soft copy. Soft copy can be emailed on [email protected] Objections/grievances received after the prescribed date shall not be entertained. The decision of the committee shall be final in such matters.

The eligible candidates shall report to Sports Officer (K), J&K Sports Council, Polo Ground. Playing Field, Srinagar and Sports Officer (1)..411 Sports Council, New Indoor Sports Complex, MA. Stadium, Jammu along with track record and proper identification proof on 16-11.2022 from 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM for physical verification test/viva. In case the candidates fail to appear for physical verification test/viva on the scheduled date, his/her sports category weightage shall not be recommended to BOPEE.
