Conduct of Special Stray Round of Counselling for admission to NEET MD/MS/PGD Courses in various Government/Private Medical Colleges/Institutions of the UT of J&K including seats under the HMQ quota in the ASCOMS-2024 after reduction of percentile to 5%.

Pursuant to Notification No. 017–BOPEE of 2025 Dated: 25-02-2025, the Board has received shortfall of seats in MD/MS/PGD courses from various Government Medical Colleges of UT of J&K and vide Notification No. 020-BOPEE of 2025 dated 04-03-2025 the Board has received the fresh applications from all the eligible and desirous candidates after the reduction of percentile by NBEMS to 5% and also in pursuant to communication received from GMC Srinagar vide Letter No. GMCS/Acad/SS/10034/MC dated 04-03-2025 regarding the resignation of one candidate in MD-Anesthesia under OBC category, it is hereby notified that the Board shall conduct the Special Stray Round of Physical counseling for the allotment of seats as per the schedule given below:

Note-I: The following procedure shall be followed during Special Stray Round of Physical Counseling:

1. The eligible and willing candidates shall have to report at the BOPEE offices Jammu / Srinagar for Registration/Attendance & fulfillment of other formalities, from 9.30 am to 10.30 am on the day/date of counseling for MD/MS/PGD Courses.

2. It is enjoined upon all the eligible candidates that they shall visit/ attend counseling only after checking the Seat Matrix available on the official website of the Board and if the seats of their choice(s) are available in their respective categories, they shall participate in the counseling.

3. Only those candidate(s) who have not been allotted any seat(s) in any of the previous rounds of counselling and the candidates who have registered freshly vide Notification No. 020-BOPEE of 2025 dated 04-03-2025 are eligible to participate in this round of counseling.

4. The candidates participating for the 1st time shall have to deposit a counseling fee of Rs.2000/- physically, through POS Machines kept available at the BOPEE offices Jammu/Srinagar on their day/date of counseling.

5. The candidate(s) who have been allotted Seat(s) during any of the previous rounds of counseling but have failed to join or have resigned against the said allotted seat/College, he/she shall not be eligible to participate in this Round of counseling.

6. The candidate(s) who have been allotted Seat(s) in any of the previous round and have joined against the said seat are not eligible to participate in this round of counselling.

7. In pursuant to Notification No. 023-BOPEE of 2025 dated 12/3/2025, the Board has decided to fill the vacant seat of MD Anesthesia under OBC Category received from GMC Srinagar vide Letter No. GMCS/Acad/SS/10034/MC dated 04-03-2025. Only those candidates, who were eligible during the 2nd round and subsequent rounds of counseling for this one seat under OBC category as per their merit respectively, shall be eligible to participate in this round of counselling and if an OBC candidate is not available, then the same shall be converted to Open Merit and allotted as per the merit/preferences.

8. The Board reserves the right to notify candidates of such changes as may become necessary in view of any technical difficulty or the reasons beyond its control.

The other Terms and Conditions shall, however, remain the same as notified by the Board in the e-Information Brochure and Notifications/Notices issued from time to time in this regard.
