JKBOPEE Important Notification Regarding (GNM) Lateral Entry Course -2023
Conduct of 2nd/Mop Up Round (upgradation/ allotment) of (Physical) counseling for admission to General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) Lateral Entry Course -2023 in various Government/Private Colleges of UT of J&K.

Pursuant to Notification No. 067-BOPEE of 2023 dated 20.08.2023, the Board conducted the First Round of Counseling from 17.08.2023 to 19.08.2023 for admission to General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) Lateral Entry Course-2023 in Government / Private Colleges/Institutions of UT of J&K. In order to fill up the shortfall seats, including the seats which have remained unfilled during the First Round of counseling, it is hereby notified that the Board shall conduct 2nd / Mop Up Round of (Physical) counseling for admission to GNM (Lateral Entry) Course 2023 simultaneously at BOPEE office Jammu / Srinagar as per following schedule :-
However, the reserved category candidates shall also be eligible to participate in the counseling process as an OM candidate, if otherwise eligible in OM on both days.
The candidates who have not participated earlier in the counseling process shall have to deposit non refundable counseling fee of Rs. 1000/- through POS Machine available at BOPEE office Jammu/Srinagar through Debit/Credit cards. Any candidate who fails to deposit the counseling fee shall not be allowed to participate in the counselling. The deposition of the counseling fee by the candidate(s) shall not confer any right to the candidate(s) that he/she shall claim for allotment of seat.
The seats shall be allotted strictly on the basis of merit cum preferences and subject to availability of seats.
In order to fill maximum number of seats & to accommodate more candidates, the Board has decided to lower the bench marks from 20 to 10 marks for this round of counseling and hence those candidates who have secured 10 marks in Common Entrance Test conducted by the Board shall be eligible to attend counseling as per the above schedule.
All the candidates who are participating in this round of counseling are advised to bring along the following documents in original on the day of their counseling failing which they shall not be allowed to attend the counseling:
i) Domicile certificate,
ii) Marks card of FMPHW/MMPHW/ANM Diploma.
iii) D.O.B as per matriculation certificate,
iv) Valid Category Certificate, wherever applicable,
v) Medical Fitness certificate
Note :-
The following procedure shall be followed during the 2nd/Mop Up Upgradation/Allotment Round of Physical Counseling.
i) The eligible candidates have to report at the BOPEE offices Jammu / Srinagar for Registration/Attendance & fulfillment of other formalities, from 08.30 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. on the day/date of counseling.
ii) The above mentioned reserved category candidates shall have to bring along their reserved category certificate(s) and the CDP category candidates are advised to bring along their valid Priority Certificates for check and verification at the time of counseling.
iii) Those candidate(s) who have been allotted seat(s) during the 1st Round of Counseling and have joined against the said Seat / College, if interested, for upgradation are eligible to participate in the 2nd/Mop Up Round of Physical Counseling with the condition that he/she shall have to produce his/her fee deposition receipt of the concerned allotted College at the time of Registration/Attendance on day/date of counseling.
iv) The eligible candidates who have failed to participate in the First Round of counselling due to one or the other reason shall also be eligible to participate in the counselling.
v) Due to time constraints, the Board shall club 2nd & Mop up rounds of counseling as one time exemption for these courses and for current session only, hence accordingly, the candidate(s) who have been allotted Seat(s) during the First Round of counseling, but have failed to join, they shall also be eligible to participate in the 2nd/Mop Up Round of counseling irrespective of eligibility mentioned in the Notifications/Notices issued by the Board from time to time in this regard.
vi) The Board reserves the right to notify such changes as may become necessary in view of any technical difficulty or the reasons beyond its control.
