JKBOSE Scholarship Notification 2021-22

National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) for 2021-22: Inviting applications from Class 10th Students .

Applications are invited from all the students studying in Class 10th in Govt./Private recognized Schools affiliated with JKBOSE/CBSE/ICSE who are eligible to appear for Stage-I National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) Session 2021-22 to be conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education tentatively scheduled on 16th January 2022 (Sunday).

Eligibility : Applicant must have secured 60% marks (5% relaxation for OBC/ST/SC/EWS/ PHC category) in class 9th and due for appearing in ensuing Class 10th Annual Examination i.e. November 2021 in Kashmir Division/ U.T of Ladakh/Winter Zone areas of Jammu Division and March 2022 in Summer Zone areas of Jammu Division.

Students registered under Open Distance Learning (ODL) are also eligible for the Scholarship. Students should be below the age of 18 years (as on 1st of July 2021). There will be no domicile restriction.

Selection : Stage -I, selection will be done by Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education and those who are selected/ recommended from Stage -I examination against the allotted quota of 63 for U.T of J&K and 20 for U.T of Ladakh in order of merit, will be eligible for Stage-II( National Level) examination to be conducted by NCERT.

Reservation :  15% for SC Category, 7.5 % for ST category candidates, 27% for OBC (Non creamy layer), 10% for EWS those who have not covered under Reservation scheme for SC/ST/OBC and 4% for Specially abled children.

Scholarship : About two thousand scholarships are awarded for different stages of education as shown below :

Scholarship of Rs.1250/- per month for Class-XI to XII.

Scholarship of Rs.2000/- per month for undergraduates & post graduates.

Amount of Scholarship for Ph.D shall be fixed in accordance with UGC norms.

Examination : The pattern of written examination will be as follows:

Stage-I Examination at U.T level will comprise of two papers i.e.

Paper-I Mental Ability Test (MAT)

Paper-II Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)

No. of questions : 100

No. of marks : 100

Duration : 120 min

The application form in prescribed Performa can be had from JKBOSE website www.jkbose.nic.in.

The application forms duly attested by the concerned Head of the Institution and accompanied with the requisite documents (Marks Certificate and reserved category certificate, if any) along with pay in slip of ` 210 ( Rupees Two hundred and ten only) favouring Liaison Officer, NTSE to be deposited in JK Bank A/C No. 0547010100000002, Branch JKBOSE Bemina, Srinagar IFSC Code JAKAOEXAMBR, must reach CDR Wing, JKBOSE New Campus, Bemina, Srinagar/Rehari Colony, Jammu/Sub/Branch Offices of JKBOSE by or before 28th November, 2021.
