SKUAST-Jammu Admission Notice Regarding Various Courses
Applications as per the prescribed format (Annexure-A to this notification) are invited from the eligible candidates of Jammu province having Domicile of Union Territory of J&K for admission to the following diploma courses for the academic session 2024-25.
Name of the Courses :-
Diploma in Agriculture
Diploma in Horticulture
*In addition to above 10% of seats over and above be filled form the candidates of economically weaker sections (EWSs).
Eligibility :
Shall have passed in 10+2 examination with science subjects. Candidates possessing Short Term Certificate courses in respective discipline from 1CAR recognized Universities/Institutions shall be given preference.
Age : Not less than 17 years as on 31-12-2024
Duration : One year.
Fee Structure :
The course fee shall be charged in advance at the beginning of each term as under :
1st term (Semester) – 13,000/-
2nd term (Semester) – 4500/-
How to apply :
The candidate are advised to deposit the fee amounting to Rs. 200/- as application charges through online mode /cash through bank / RTGS into the account of Comptroller SKUAST-J A/c No. 1235040500000009 (J&K Bank, Chatha) IFSC: JAKAOEAURSP.
The applications on the prescribed format duly signed by the concerned candidates complete in all respects accompanied with fee receipt of amounting to Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two hundred) only on account of application charges must reach to the office of the Registrar, SKUAST-J, Main Campus, Chatha, Jammu-180009 on or before 10-06-2024. Also the desirous in-service Union Territory of J&K Govt. employees shall submit their applications on or before 10-06-2024 duly recommended and forwarded by their employer along with prescribed application fee.
The application form must be supported with the following attested documents.
• Marks certificate of 10+2 or equivalent examination
• Date of Birth Certificate (Matriculation)
• Domicile Certificate
• Character Certificate
• Category Certificate
Selection :
Selection for admission to Diploma in Agriculture and Diploma in Horticulture in case of fresh candidates shall be made on the basis of merit obtained by the candidates in qualifying examination i.e., 10+2 or equivalent and in case of J&K Govt. in-service employees nominees working in Agriculture Production Department and Horticulture Department, respectively.(only those in-service candidates should apply who are fulfilling the minimum eligibility norms in terms of qualification).
