SKUAST Kashmir Winter Vacation Announced

In view of harsh inclement weather conditions, SKUASTK shall observe Winter Vacation for a period of Thirty (30) days with effect from 1st January, 2026 to 30th January, 2026 (both days inclusive). The following, shall however, be non-vocational:

i. Vice-Chancellor’s Secretariat.
ii. Officers of the University / Heads of Divisions / Research Stations.
iii. Directorate of Planning & Monitoring.
iv. Registrar’s Office.
v. Comptroller’s Office.
vi. Estates Wing.
vii. Principal Investigations of External Funded Projects.
viii. Staff working in KVKs.
ix. Drivers / Watch & Ward / EPBX operators.

Accordingly, the Directors / Deans / Associate Deans / Heads of Research Station / Divisions shall make necessary arrangements for smooth functioning of routine activities and retain the necessary staff during the vacations. Further, the Hostels of all Faculties / Colleges etc shall remain closed during the period of vacation.

The vacation shall be purely optional and the Earned Leave of Fifteen (15) days shall be deducted from the employees, availing Winter Vacation.

Those visiting abroad shall seek proper permission from Competent Authority through their Controlling Officer(s).
