Eligibility: 1 year/2- semesters Master’s Degree program after a 4 year/ 8 semester Bachelor’s Degree programme or a 2-year/4 semester Master’s Degree programme after a 3 year Bachelor’s degree programme or qualifications declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.

Or

A 4-year/8-semester Degree programme should have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.

A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS)

Selection Procedure: Selection procedure comprises of Written Examination followed by Interview of the short listed candidates. (visit www.smvdu.ac.in for details).Candidates who have valid UGC-NET/GATE/other Similar National Level Tests score card (including NET-JRF/UGC-CSIR NET/SLET/DST-Inspire fellowship/ any other National Level Fellowships) or have passed M.Phil. programme will be exempted from appearing for the written test as per rules.

Application fee: Rs.1500/- to be paid via online mode.

How to apply: Online Applications can be filled at New Application Form Submission Interface of University for AY 2025-26 i.e. https://admission.smvdu.ac.in/. The last date for submission of complete Application Form is 26.11.2025.

Financial assistance @ Rs. 25,000/- pm + contingency is available for GATE/NET qualified candidates and also for NoN-NET/NoN-GATE candidates (selected through SMVDU test) as per availability of slots in accordance with the University Rules.
