(1) IBPS Specialist Officer Syllabus :

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for the recruitment of Specialist Officer (CRP/SPL-XIII) Vacancy. The Online Examination Shall Be Conducted in Three Phases Viz. Preliminary Examination, Main Examination & Interview Syllabus Details Given Below….

Phase III: Interview

Candidates who have been shortlisted in the Online Main Examination for CRP SPL-XIII will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Banks and coordinated by the Nodal Banks in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS. Interviews will be conducted at select centres. The centre, address of the venue, time & date of Interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter. Candidates are required to download their interview call letters from authorised IBPS website www.ibps.in. Please note that any request regarding change in date, centre etc. of interview will not be entertained

A candidate should qualify both in the Online Main Examination and interview and be sufficiently high
in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process, details of which will be made
available subsequently on authorised IBPS website

 

(2) IBPS Specialist Officer/SPL-XIII Exam Pattern Details :

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for the recruitment of Specialist Officers in various cadres like IT, Agriculture, Legal, Marketing, HR and Rashtrabhasha Adhikari etc in various Public Sector Banks. The Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for Specialist officers and Common interview will be conducted, once a year by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. The following are the Exam Pattern Details…

Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing minimum cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for Online Main Examination.

II. Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to both – Preliminary and Main examinations): There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer  has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

III. Cutoff Score: (Online Main Examination): Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in the test of Online Main examination and also secure sufficiently high scores to be considered to be shortlisted for interview. Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided and candidates will be shortlisted for interview. Prior to the completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the online Main examination will not be shared with the candidates shortlisted for interview.

IV. Scores: The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equi – percentile method. Scores up to two decimal points shall be taken for the purpose of calculations.

V. Marks obtained in the Online Main Examination only will be considered for Shortlisting for Interview and also for final merit listing.

C. Interview: Candidates who have been shortlisted in the Online Main Examination for CRP SPL-VIII will subsequently be called for an Interview. The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD candidates). The weightage (ratio) of Online Main Examination and interview will be 80:20 respectively. Candidate should qualify both in the Online Main Examination and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process.

 

(3) IBPS Specialist Officer/SPL-XIII Selection Process Details :

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for the recruitment of Specialist Officers in various cadres like IT, Agriculture, Law, Marketing, HR and Rashtrabhasha Adhikari etc in various Public Sector Banks. IBPS specialist officer’s selection process details are given below…

Selection Procedure: IBPS will conduct Common Recruitment Process in two stages- Common Written Examination and Common Interview.

Common Written Examination: Examination will consists of Prelims & Mains. There will be negative marking of 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question.

i. Prelims Examination: This Exam consists of 150 questions carries 125 marks in the duration of 2 hours.

ii. Main Examination:

For the Post of Law Officer, IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer: Professional Knowledge Test consists of 60 questions carries 60 marks in the duration of 45 minutes.

For the Post of Rajbhasha Adhikari: Professional Knowledge (Objective & Descriptive) Test consists of 47 questions carries 60 marks in the duration of 60 minutes.

Common Interview: Candidates who have been shortlisted in the examination for CRP SPL will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organisation and coordinated by the nodal banks in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS. The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD candidates). The weightage (ratio) of Online CWE (exam) and interview will be 80:20. The combined final scores of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of total scores obtained by the candidates in CRP (SPL) & Interview. Interview score of the candidates failing to secure minimum qualifying marks or otherwise barred from the interview or further process shall not be disclosed.

Provisional Allotment: On completion of the interview process, depending on the vacancies to be filled in during the financial year 2024-25 based on the business needs of the Participating Banks and as reported to
IBPS, candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the Participating Banks, based on merit-cum-preference keeping in view the spirit of Govt. Guidelines on reservation policy, various guidelines issued by Govt. of India/Others from time to time, administrative exigency, etc. Vacancies given in this notification are indicative. Provisional allotment shall be done on the basis of actual vacancies to be reported by the Participating Banks. Candidates should not claim indicative vacancies as final for provisional allotment. No change in the data already registered by the candidate in the online application form is possible.

The decision of IBPS in provisional allotment of a candidate to a Participating Organisation shall be final and binding upon the selected candidates. However IBPS reserves the right to cancel and reallot Organisation-wise allocation depending upon exigencies or otherwise. The candidates however, shall have not right to demand re-allotment on any grounds and allotment once done shall be final and binding on the candidates.

 

(4) IBPS Specialist Officer/SPL-XIII Eligibility Details :

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for the recruitment of Specialist Officers in various cadres like IT, Agriculture Field, Rajbhasha Adhikari, Law, HR, Marketing in various public sector banks. Candidates, intending to apply for CRP SPL should ensure that they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria specified by IBPS.

Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality/ Citizenship: A candidate must be either –
(i) a Citizen of India or
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan or
(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
