GMC-Jammu/Srinagar Select List for the posts of Lecturer Medicine (GMC-Jammu/Srinagar) in Health & Medical Education Department.

Whereas, Health & Medical Education Department vide letter No. ME/GAZ/187/2014 dated 25.04.2019 referred 05 posts of Lecturer in the discipline of Medicine under Open Merit Category [GMC-Jammu = 03 and GMC-Srinagar = 02 respectively] for selection of suitable candidates; and

Whereas, J&K Public Service Commission vide Notification No. 08-PSC (DR-P) of 2019 dated 20.05.2019 advertised the said posts for selection of suitable candidate; and

Whereas, Commission received 151 applications [GMC-Jammu:74, GMC: Srinagar:77], which were scrutinized and 132 eligible candidates [GMC-Jammu:65, GMC: Srinagar:67] were called for interview. Out of 132 candidates, 32 candidates applied for both GMC Jammu and GMC Srinagar; and

Whereas, the interview of the shortlisted candidates was conducted from 26.07.2021 to 28.07.2021 with the assistance of experts.
Now, therefore, on the basis of the performance in the interview in pursuance of Rule 51 of the J&K Public Service Commission (Business & Procedure) Rules, 1980 as amended from time to time and other related parameters, the merit of the candidates who have appeared in the interview is enclosed as Annexure-“A” to this Notification.

Consequent upon the above, the select list of the candidates against the available posts is given in Annexure-B to this Notification.

NOTE :

The Commission reserves the right to have certificates/documents of the candidate verified, if at any later stage found expedient to do so. The Selection of the can
didate is purely provisional and is subject to the outcome of writ petition(s) pending before any competent Court of law.

The select list is provisional and objection, if any, may be submitted to the Commission within five days for examination and disposal. No claim, whatsoever, shall be entertained after five days from the date of issuance of Notification.
