JKPSC Announces Provisional Selection List
Provisional Select List for the post of Lecturer, Music, in School Education Department.

Whereas, the School Education Department, vide letter No. Edu-Gen/35/2024-01 (7338282) dated 01.01.2025 and 05.12.2024, referred one (01) post in OM Category, of Lecturer, Music to the J&K Public Service Commission, for selection of suitable candidate; and,

Whereas, the J&K Public Service Commission, vide Notification No. 01-PSC (DR-P) of 2025 dated 22.01.2025, advertised the said post for inviting applications. The cut-off date for determination of eligibility was fixed as 22.02.2025; and,
Whereas, in pursuance of Rule 42 of the J&K Public Service Commission (Conduct of Examination) Rules, 2022, Rule 31 & 43(ii) of J&K Public Service Commission (Business & Procedure) Rules, 2021, as amended up to date, a written test was conducted on 29.09.2025; and,
Whereas, the result of the written examination was declared vide Notification No. PSC/Exam/5/2025/57 dated 01.12.2025. Five (05) candidates were declared to have qualified for interview provisionally; and,
Whereas, the viva-voce of candidates was conducted on 06.01.2026, with the assistance of Experts from outside of the Union Territory of J&K.
Now, therefore, on the basis of the performance in the written test, interview, and other related attributes in pursuance of Rule 43.1(i) of the J&K Public Service Commission (Business & Procedure) Rules, 2021, the merit of the candidates who appeared in the interview is enclosed as Annexure to this Notification.
Consequent upon the facts stated herein-above, Sushant Sathu S/O Satish Kumar Sathu R/O Fateh Pora Anantnag East, having secured 78.09 points, is provisionally selected against the said post.

Note :
The Commission reserves the right to have certificates/documents of the candidates verified, if at any later stage found expedient to do so. The selection of the candidate is purely provisional and is subject to the outcome of writ petition(s) pending before any competent Court of law.
The selection is provisional and objections, if any, may be submitted to the Commission within five days for examination and disposal. No claim whatsoever shall be entertained after five days from the date of issue of this Notification.
