JKPSC Forest Department Result Notification

The result of the Preliminary /Screening (Objective type) Test held for the posts of Assistant Conservator of Forests in Forest Department on 01.04.2018, is declared as per Annexure A to this Notification

The representations received after the conduct of preliminary/screening test have been disposed off after obtaining the opinion from the subject matter experts.

The Commission has adopted the pattern provided in Sub rule(2) of Rule 8 of J&K Combined Competitive Examination Rule , 2008 and the law laid down including the Judgment of Hon’ble Supreme Court in A.P. Public Service Commission Vs Baloji Badhavath & Ors (Civil Appeal No. 2244 of 2009) for the purpose of shortlisting the candidate s for appearing in the main examination.

While adopting the above pattern, the Commission ha s decided to call 25 times the number of vacancies. Out of 5333 enrolled candidates 2771 candidates appeared in the preliminary examination, thus 300 candidates in order of merit have been declared to have qualified for the main examination thereby making the last cutoff point as 75.398 marks. Due to a tie amongst 42 candidates at the last cutoff point, 14 additional candidates get qualified for the main examination; thus taking the total number of candidates qualified for Mains to 314.
