JKPSC Provisional Selection Lists for Assistant Legal Remembrancer/ District Litigation Officer Posts
Provisional Select List for the post of Assistant Legal Remembrancer/District Litigation Officer, in the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.
Whereas, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Department, vide letter No. Law-Estt/29/2022-10 dated 15.01.2024 referred Eleven (11) posts (OM: 04, RBA: 01, SC: 01, ST:02, SLC: 01, EWS: 02) of Assistant Legal Remembrancer/District Litigation Officer, in the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs to the J&K Public Service Commission, for selection of suitable candidates. The posts were advertised vide Notification No. 02-PSC (DR-P) of 2024 dated 05.03.2024; and,
Whereas, in pursuance of letter No. Law-Estt/29/2022-10 dated: 06.03.2024 received from Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Department two posts One each under ST and EWS were withdrawn vide Notice No PSC/DR/ALR/DLO/2024 dated: 12.03.2024
Whereas, written test was conducted on 15.09.2024. The result of the written test was declared vide Notification No. PSC/Exam/S/2024/73 dated: 08.11.2024, in pursuance of Rule 42 of J&K Public Service Commission (Conduct of Examination) Rules, 2022 and Rule 31 of J&K Public Service Commission (Business & Procedure) Rules, 2021; and,
Whereas, Thirty Six (36) candidates were shortlisted against Notification dated 05.03.2024, 35 candidates appeared in the interview & 01 candidate remained absent; and,
Whereas, the viva-voce of candidates was conducted on 19th & 20th of March, 2025 with the assistance of Experts from outside the UT of J&K.
Now, therefore, on the basis of the performance in the written test, interview, and other related parameters, in pursuance of Rule 43 (ii) of the J&K Public Service Commission (Business & Procedure) Rules, 2021, the merit of the candidates who appeared in the interview is enclosed as Annexure-A to the notification.
Consequent upon the details given here-in-above, Provisional Select List of the candidates for the post of Assistant Legal Remembrancer/District Litigation Officer, as per merit, is given in Annexure-B to this Notification.
Note :-
1. The Commission reserves the right to have certificates/documents of the candidate verified, if at any later stage found expedient to do so. The Selection of the candidate is purely provisional and is subject to the outcome of writ petition(s) pending before any competent Court of law.
2. The selection is provisional and objections, if any, may be submitted to the Commission within five days for examination and disposal. No claim, whatsoever, shall be entertained after five days from the date of issuance of Notification.
3. One (01) post of EWS category remained unfilled due to Non-crossing of bench mark. Moreover the result of one candidate under EWS category has been kept withheld for want of original EWS certificate
