JKPSC Selection Lists for Posts in Agriculture Production Department
Provisional Select List for the post of Horticulture Development Officer, in Agriculture Production Department (Horticulture).
Notification No. 55-PSC (DR-S) of 2025 Dated: 09.04.2025
Whereas, Agriculture Production Department (Horticulture), vide letter No. Horti-Gaz/8/2021 (98948) dated 03.04.202 & 24.05.2023, referred Forty One (41) posts (OM: 20, RBA: 04, SC: 04, ST:04, ALC/IB: 02, SLC: 01, PSP: 02, EWS: 04) of Horticulture Development Officer, in Agriculture Production Department (Horticulture) to the J&K Public Service Commission, for selection of suitable candidates and Commission, vide Notification No. 29-PSC (DR-P) of 2023 dated 09.06.2023, advertised the said posts for selection; and,
Whereas, written test was conducted on 29.05.2023. The result of the written test was declared vide Notification No.PSC/Exam/S/2024/40 dated 29.07.2024. As per the eligibility criteria of indenting Department, the result was revised vide Notification No.PSC/Exam/S/2024/63 dated 10.10.2024, in pursuance of Rule 42 of J&K Public Service Commission (Conduct of Examination) Rules, 2022 and Rule 31 of J&K Public Service Commission (Business & Procedure) Rules, 2021; and,
Whereas, One Hundred & Eleven (111) candidates were called for interview. Further, Seven (07) candidates were called for interview on the basis of direction of the Hon’ble Central Administrative Tribunal, Jammu in the petition titled Shoeb Ahmad Bhatti and Ors V/S Agriculture Production Department O.A./215/2025 dated: 03.03.2025. 13 candidates remained absent; and,
Whereas, the viva-voce of candidates was conducted on 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 10th of March, 2025 with the assistance of Experts.
Now, therefore, on the basis of the performance in the written test, interview, and other related parameters, in pursuance of Rule 43 (ii) of the J&K Public Service Commission (Business & Procedure) Rules, 2021, the merit of the candidates who appeared in the interview is enclosed as Annexure-“A” to this Notification. Consequent upon the details given here-in-above, Provisional Select List of the candidates for the post of Horticulture Development Officer, as per merit, is given in Annexure-B to This Notification.
Note :-
1. 04 posts under EWS category and 01 post under PSP category remained unfilled. As per the method of recruitment prescribed in the advertised Notification, candidate(s) next in merit will be called for interview against the unfilled posts.
2. The Commission reserves the right to have certificates/documents of the candidate verified, if at any later stage found expedient to do so. The Selection of the candidate is purely provisional and is subject to the outcome of writ petition(s) pending before any competent Court of law.
3. The selection is provisional and objections, if any, may be submitted to the Commission within five days for examination and disposal. No claim, whatsoever, shall be entertained after five days from the date of issuance Notification.
