JKSSB Selection Lists for Posts in JK Science & Technology Department
Whereas, the requisite qualification for selection against these posts, as per the Indent/ advertised, was mentioned as under: I. First Class Master’s Degree in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/Statistics or First Class Master’s Degree in Engineering from any recognized Institution/ University.
One year experience in the field of Design and Innovation from any recognized Institution.
Whereas, the cut-off/last date for applying for these posts, and for determining the eligibility of the candidates for purpose of educational/category and other benefits was 27.02.2021. The Computer Based Written Test (CBT) was conducted on 06-02-2023; and
Whereas, the Board, vide Notification No. JKSSB-COEOEXAMOIT)/6/2023-04 (7110979) dated 31.05.2023, notified the Result/Score-sheet of the Computer Based Written Test (CBT) Examination held for these posts. This was followed by the Document Verification of the candidates falling in the consideration zone on 15.06.2023, both at Jammu and Srinagar; and
Whereas, vide Office Order No. 153-556 of 2023 dated 14.08.2023, a Selection Committee was constituted for preparing the Selection List for these posts. The said Selection Committee, while preparing the selection list faced an Issue related to experience acquired by the candidates during Ph.D can be considered; and
Whereas, vide letter dated 03.12.2024, the matter was taken up with Science & Technology Department wherein, it was requested to convey as to whether the Period of Experience acquired during pursuing Ph.D can be considered as valid experience in Research in the relevant field for the posts of “Research Assistant”; and
Whereas, the Science & Technology Department, vide their communication dated 10.12.2024, conveyed that the experience acquired by the candidate during Ph.D be considered as valid experience in Research in the relevant field for the aforesaid post or separately; and
Whereas, the matter was again placed in 293rd Board Meeting held on 26.12.2024, wherein the board deliberated upon the clarification provided by Science & Technology Department, and decided to reconstitute the Selection Committee in the first instance due to transfer of officer from pervious committee; and
