Army soldier martyred in accidental grenade blast
An Army soldier was martyred in an accidental grenade blast inside an Army camp at Draba in Surankote area of Poonch district late this evening.
Reports said the Army soldier mishandled the grenade while keeping it inside the camp resulting into an explosion in which he sustained serious injuries.
The injured jawan was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
He has been identified as Sepoy Bhavesh Choudhary.
Police personnel reached the spot. However, later it was found that the Army soldier died of splinter injuries sustained by him after the device went off due to mishandling.
Body of the soldier will be sent to his hometown tomorrow morning after completion of all legal formalities.
Senior officers visited the spot for investigation
