Civil Judge Prelim Exam: DM Jammu imposes restrictions around examination centers

JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 25: District Magistrate Jammu Dr. Rakesh Minhas, in exercise of the powers vested under section 163 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) has imposed restrictions around Examination Centers notified for Preliminary Examination for the post of Civil Judge (Junior Division) in Subordinate Judiciary.

The Exam is being conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission on September 28, 2025 in two sessions (10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and 02:30 PM to 04:30 PM).

As per the order, 5 Examination Centers have been notified in District Jammu for the said examination.

β€œTo avoid any kind of law-and-order situation on the day of examination, assembly of 5 or more persons within a radius of 100 meters around all the 05 notified examination centers shall be strictly prohibited from 05:00 AM to 06:00 PM (except authorized personnel).

Any person who contravenes this order shall be liable to be punished in accordance with the provisions of Section-223 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS),” the order stated.
