Soon after, Uttarakhand Police initiated prompt action in the case. According to an official police update, FIR No. 26/2026 has been registered at Police Station Vikasnagar against the accused Sanjay Yadav and another individual under Sections 117(2) and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The police further informed that the main accused, Sanjay Yadav, has been taken into custody and legal proceedings are underway. He will be produced before the court and sent to judicial custody.
