JK News Today: NDGP Nalin Prabhats straight message to Pakistan – JKP will defeat you
These were deeply impacting words. On Friday evening , DGP Jammu and Kashmir Nalin Prabhat ,after the wreath-laying ceremony for the four policemen who made supreme sacrifice while fighting terrorists in Kathua encounter , declared “ two Pakistanis have been killed.”.
He was responding to a question, how many terrorists were killed in the encounter.
Nalin Prabhat’s answer can be interpreted in two ways – one, that two terrorists of Pakistani origin were killed , or he could have simply said “ two” , again that would have been understand able , the second part is that he said , “ two Pakistanis.” The two Pakistani statements are more significant than other inferences.
In simple words, it was a declaration that the entire Pakistan state was involved. “Two Pakistanis” is a representative term, rich in its connotation. It underlined the scale and scope of Pakistan state, which in essence is the military establishment across the border, That Pakistan is controlled and run by Pakistani army is an open secret.
So far, whenever corned on the acts of cross-border terrorism, Pakistani state had a bizarre explanation – it is the work of the non-state actors. That meant that there were certain groups in Pakistan, who nurtured their hatred of India, driven by their radical ideology, operate and target to pursue their agenda and the state, as such, had nothing to with it. The world knows it is a fallacy, but Pakistan keeps on using this smokescreen to escape the consequences. The story of 26/11 is still continuing.
The non-state actor theory could have sounded credible had Pakistan taken action against these actors, who it claimed, worked independent of the state. If these state actors, through their acts of terror were causing troubles and causing serious problems in the bilateral relations then it is all the more imperative that Pakistan state should have taken them to task. But we have not seen that happening. .
A terrorist is a terrorist. As Pakistan claims to be a victim of terrorism itself, it becomes incumbent upon it to deal with the terrorists accordingly, whether they are striking within Pakistan or against India. If it believes that all terrorists targeting trains, buses and other strategic and economic interests of the country deserve a hellish punishment, why shouldn’t that yardstick to be applied to terrorists targeting India and the Indian interests unless the latter are patronized by the state itself. Then where is the distinction between the state and non-state actors?
Nalin Prabhat demolished this state and non-state actor theory propounded by Pakistan. He held the state of Pakistan responsible for what all has been happening since March 23 when the terrorists infiltrated from across the border. That is why; he made another significant declaration “War (against) Pakistan –sponsored terrorism and the terror organizations operating from there) is on.” All the tools needed to defeat enemy’s designs are there: “indomitable spirit of J&K police, their determination to achieve the goal of punishing and eliminating Pakistani terror network.” This declaration was made at Kathua, few miles away from the international Indo-Pak border, relayed straight to the State of Pakistan.
