Kathua Encounter: One Pak Militant Killed, Operation On
ADGP Jammu Personally Monitoring The Operation
An unidentified Militant has been killed in an ongoing encounter in Billawar area of Kathua district on Sunday.
Officials told that early morning today operation was resumed and during firefight one Pakistani militant was killed as well his body has been also retrieved.
The operation in the area is still underway, ADGP Jammu Anand Jain is personally monitoring the whole operation, they said.
Yesterday, a gunfight broke out between militants and security forces in Billawar after a specific input was recieved by the security forces.
During intial exchange of fire with militants one Head Constable was killed while as DySP and an ASI were injured and their condition is stated to be stable.
Kathua Encounter Update : Police Head Constable Martyred, ASI Injured, Operation On
A head constable was killed while as an assistant Sub Inspector of Police was injured in an ongoing encounter in Billwar area of Kathua district.
An official told that during intial firefight, a head constable was killed also one assistant sub-inspector of Police was injured.
The injured ASI was immediately evacuated to hospital for advanced treatment, they said.
Meanwhile, the operation in the area was underway when this story was being filed.
Encounter break out In Kathua
An encounter has started between Terrorists and Security forces Lahari village Rasani of Kathua Jammu region on Saturday.
Sources told that terrorists fired upon the search party of Security forces in the Lahari Village.
“As the troops inched closer to the suspected spot, they came under heavy fire which was exchanged effectively,” they said.
They said two to three terrorists are believed to be trapped in the area.
Additional reinforcements have been called in to ensure terrorists don’t flee. “Cordon layers are being strengthened,” they said.
