Kashmir News: Encounter breaks out in Kulgam
Kashmir News: An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in the Tangmarg area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, officials said.
An official said that security forces cordoned off Tangmarg after receiving specific inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area.
As security forces zeroed in on the suspected spot, hiding terrorists fired upon forces, which was retaliated, triggering an encounter. He said that an exchange of fire is going on. The anti-terror operation comes a day after terrorists opened fire at a group of tourists in Pahalgam, killing 26 civilians and injuring many.
