Fire damages residential-cum-shopping complex in Baramulla
In a massive fire incident that broke out in the intervening night, extensive damage was caused to a residential-cum-shopping complex in Jammu Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials said.
Fire and Emergency Service officials said that a fire broke out at Chakura Pattan during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday in a residential-cum-shopping complex, during which a residential house and three shops were gutted. A vehicle nearby was also damaged in the fire incident.
Soon after the fire incident, several fire tenders were rushed to the spot from nearby stations to extinguish the leaping flames.
It took several hours for the firefighting personnel to bring the fire under control, they said.
However, no one was injured in the incident, they said, and added the cause of the fire is being ascertained.
