According to data compiled by Kashmir Weather Watch, Srinagar city recorded 25.2°C, while Qazigund and Kokernag registered 22.8°C and 21.4°C, respectively. Kupwara stood at 25.0°C, Pahalgam at 20.2°C, and the ski resort of Gulmarg reported the coolest temperature in the Valley at 17.0°C.

In the Jammu division, where scorching conditions are common during this season, temperatures also saw a notable decline. Jammu city recorded 32.3°C, with Katra at 29.9°C, Batote at 23.1°C, Bhaderwah at 23.6°C, and Banihal at 21.4°C.

In the Union Territory of Ladakh, the mercury dipped even lower. Leh recorded a maximum of 10.0°C, while Kargil followed closely at 9.5°C.

The sudden drop in temperature comes as a respite for residents and is attributed to a shift in weather patterns and possible western disturbances influencing the region.
