Iran on Wednesday said it will withdraw from the ceasefire agreement if Israel persists in violating the truce by continuing its attacks on Lebanon, a source told Tasnim News Agency.
The passage of oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz was halted because of Israeli attacks on Lebanon, Iran’s semi-official Fars news agency reported.
This comes after two tankers had passed safely through the waterway earlier in the wake of the US-brokered ceasefire.

The report followed an overnight ceasefire between the US and Iran that Fars said had resulted in the transit of two oil tankers. The halt to tanker movements happened simultaneously with attacks on Lebanon, it reported.
The restart of Hormuz is critical for oil and gas prices, which plunged after the ceasefire was announced overnight and pared some of their decline after the Fars report.
