Uri Gunfight : Two terrorists have been killed
Two terrorists have been killed in an ongoing anti-infiltration operation near the Line of Control (LoC) in Baramulla district, officials said on Wednesday.
Sources told that a heavy exchange of firin took place after alert troops intercepted a group of infiltrators in the Sarjeevan area near Uri Nala. The operation successfully foiled the infiltration attempt, resulting in the elimination of two terrorists.

Army on Wednesday said that an inflitration bid was foiled along Line of Control (LoC) at Uri in North Kashmir’s Baramulla District.
Army’s Srinagar based Chinar Corps, according to the news agencyΒ , wrote on X: “The alert troops of the Indian Army foiled an infiltration attempt by approximately 2-3 unidentified terrorists in the general area of Sarjeevan near Uri Nala, Baramulla district, earlier today.”
“The infiltration attempt was detected along the Line of Control (LoC), where vigilant troops challenged the terrorists, leading to a brief but intense exchange of fire.
The operation is currently in progress, with security forces maintaining a tight cordon around the area to neutralize the infiltrators,” the post readβ(KNO)
