Jammu and Kashmir latest weather update
India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast the possibility of intense rain and snowfall over the Western Himalayan Region from today (17 Feb) and adjoining plains of northwest India from Monday, till the 22nd of this month.
In view of heavy rainfall and snowfall over Jammu Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh from Sunday (18 Feb) to Tuesday (20 Feb) , the Weather agency had suggested some measures for the concerned areas. It said there might be a disruption of Electricity, Landslides, rock falls, mudslides and blocking of roads and highways.
