Jammu : Movement Restricted from 8 PM to 8 AM

Subject:- Order under Section 163 BNSS on restriction of night movement in District Jammu.

Whereas, in view of the incessant rains, weather alerts and prevailing circumstances, it has become necessary to restrict movement during the night hours to prevent any untoward incidents.

Now, therefore, I Dr. Rakesh Minhas, IAS, District Magistrate, Jammu in exercise of powers vested in me under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagrika Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, hereby order restriction on night movement by any individual from 8:00 PM today i.e. 26th August 2025 to 8:00 AM tomorrow i.e. 27th of August, 2025 without any valid reasons / prior permission of the competent authority, except those involved with the essential services.
