J&K Interim Budget, Discussions on administrative deptts’ issues begin today
Discussions pertaining to the issues faced by the departments with regard to J&K’s interim budget or Vote on Account (VoA)- 2024-25 will begin from tomorrow i.e., June 3, 2024.
Issues, as per a circular issued by J&K Finance department, will be discussed with Administrative Secretaries and concerned officers of all the departments as per the specified schedule.
The Principal Secretary Finance Department will chair these meetings.
“Action taken reports and updates on the RE and BE meetings held during the last year and communicated vide No FD-BDGT0GEN/23/2021-03-FD-(49992) dated November 3, 2023 shall also be reviewed,” read the circular.
As per schedule, the discussions related to eight departments viz., Industries & Commerce; Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs; Hospitality & Protocol; Estates; Cooperative; Labour & Employment; Stationery & Office Supplies and Transport will be taken up on June 3.
Issues pertaining to Agriculture and Floriculture; Animal and Sheep Husbandry; Fisheries; Horticulture and Public Works (R&B) Departments will be deliberated on June 5, 2024.
On June 6, the discussions related to Tourism; Culture; Power Development; Revenue; Social Welfare and Home departments will be taken up. On June 7, Information; Planning Development and Monitoring; Housing and Urban Development; Mining; Tribal Affairs and Higher Education Departments will be discussed.
Discussions pertaining to Youth Services & Sports; Technical Education; Science & Technology; School Education; General Administration; Health & Medical Education Departments and SKIMS will be held on June 10. On June 11, issues related to Forest; Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction; Rural Development & PR Department; Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs and Finance Departments will be deliberated.
Deliberations related to Irrigation, Flood Control (Jal Shakti) and PHE Departments will be taken up on June 12, 2024
