NIA Raids Over 12 Locations In Jammu Over Pakistani Terrorist Infiltration Case
In a major crackdown on terror, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is conducting raids at over 12 locations across Jammu and Kashmir. The raids are linked to an ongoing probe into the infiltration of terrorists from Pakistan into India and recent attacks on security forces and civilians.
The searches, being carried out in different parts of Jammu, also includes raids at the premises of sympathisers and cadres of these terrorist organizations. According to sources, those targeted in today’s raids are suspected to be linked with newly-formed offshoots and affiliates of banned terrorist groups.
The NIA is probing how these operatives were facilitating infiltrations and aiding terror activities inside Indian territory.
The case—RC-04/2024/NIA/JMU—was registered by the NIA on October 24, 2024. The case was based on intelligence inputs regarding the infiltration of active terrorists belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) through the International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC). Investigations have revealed that OGWs and other terror associates based in villages of Jammu region were involved in providing logistical support, food, shelter, and financial aid to these infiltrators.
