Airlines have cancelled flights to multiple airports including Srinagar, Leh & Jammu as well as rerouted some following Indian armed forces’ historic action — Operation Sindoor — against Pakistan’s terror infrastructure. Air India said it has “ cancelled all its flights to and from the following stations – Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh and Rajkot – till 12 noon on 7 May, pending further updates from authorities. Two international flights en route to Amritsar are being diverted to Delhi in view of the prevailing situation.” Almost all airlines started avoiding Pakistan airspace for overflying following India’s targeted action.

Operation Sindoor Live: Seven dead, 38 injured as Pakistan Army targets civilian areas along LoC in J&K
Pakistan Army on Wednesday pounded dozens of forward villages with artillery and mortar shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said. The firing killed seven persons, including a woman and two children, while 38 others were injured.
All the seven deaths were reported in the worst-hit Poonch district with another 25 persons injured, the officials said. The Indian Army is responding to the shelling in equal measure, they said on the ceasefire violations by Pakistani forces after India carried out missile strikes against nine terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
Ten persons were injured in Uri sector of Baramulla district and three others were injured in Rajouri district, the officials said.

India reached out to several world capitals and briefed senior officials about its anti-terror actions against Pakistan. NSA Ajit Doval spoke to US NSA and Secretary of State Marco Rubio and briefed him on the actions taken. “India has credible leads, technical inputs, testimony of the survivors and other evidence pointing towards the clear involvement of Pakistan-based terrorists in this attack,” the Indian embassy in Washington said. “It was expected that Pakistan would take action against terrorists and the infrastructure that supports them,” it said. “Instead, during the fortnight that has gone by, Pakistan has indulged in denial and made allegations of false flag operations against India,” the embassy said.

The headquarters of banned terror groups Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) were reportedly targetted in a series of precision strikes, PTI reported citing officials. Bahawalpur emerged as the stronghold of JeM terror group following the release of Masood Azhar in 1999, secured in exchange for the hostages of hijacked flight IC-814. Since then, the group has been linked to a series of major attacks in India, including the 2000 strike on the J&K assembly, the 2001 Parliament attack, the 2016 assault on the Pathankot Air Force base, and the 2019 Pulwama suicide bombing.
