Rain, snow & strong winds likely in J&K from March 28 night
According to the latest forecast, weather conditions are expected to remain largely dry on March 25, followed by partly cloudy skies with the possibility of light rain or snowfall at isolated locations on March 26.
The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has predicted a spell of unsettled weather across Jammu and Kashmir later this week, with rain, snowfall in higher reaches, and gusty winds likely from the night of March 28.

Officials said March 27 and 28 will generally remain dry until evening. However, weather conditions are expected to change thereafter, bringing light rain, snowfall, thunderstorms, and strong winds to many areas across the Union Territory. This advisory is significant as the shift in weather patterns could affect agriculture, travel, and day-to-day activities in several regions.
From March 29 to March 31, skies are expected to remain mostly cloudy, with light to moderate rain in the plains and snowfall over higher elevations at many places. Thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds reaching speeds of 40–50 kmph are also likely during this period.
An official from the MeT Centre said there is a possibility of moderate snowfall at a few higher reaches, along with thunder, lightning, and strong winds between the night of March 28 and March 31.

Looking ahead, weather conditions from April 1 to April 4 are expected to remain partly to generally cloudy, with no major disturbances forecast during this period.
