RBI to issue new banknotes of Rs 10 and Rs 500 denominations

RBI announced to issue banknotes of Rs 10 and Rs 500 denominations in the Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series bearing the signature of Governor, Sanjay Malhotra.

All banknotes in the denomination of 10 and 500 rupees issued by the Reserve Bank in the past will continue to be legal tender.
