Scheduled Power Cuts Announced by KPDCL
he Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL), has announced planned power shutdowns on multiple 33 KV transmission lines to facilitate maintenance works.
According to the notice, the 33 KV Wanpoh–Ashajipora and Wanpoh–Malaknag double circuit lines will remain shut down on January 8 and January 10, 2026, resulting in disruption of electricity supply from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM in Ashajipora, Dialgam, Malaknag, Hazratbal, Brakpora, Doonipawa, and nearby areas.

In another scheduled shutdown, the 33 KV Bemina–Fateh Kadal and 33 KV Bemina–Barbarshah lines will be switched off on January 8, 12, and 15, 2026. Consequently, power supply will remain suspended from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM in Mohalla, Nowpora, Bohrikadal, Bishembarnagar, Gousia Hospital, Naisarak, Barbarshah, Exchange, Basant Bagh, Car Parking Maisuma, and surrounding localities.
