School Picnic Permissions Cancelled in Jammu Amid Adverse Weather Conditions
The Chief Education Officer (CEO), Jammu, has cancelled all previously issued permissions for school picnics scheduled from December 22 onwards in view of unfavourable weather conditions.
Officials said the decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of students. According to an official order issued by the Office of the CEO, Jammu, all earlier approvals granted to schools for organizing picnics stand cancelled with immediate effect.
The order stated that prevailing winter weather conditions could pose potential risks during outdoor activities and travel, prompting the authorities to revoke the permissions. Schools have been directed not to organise any picnic activities until further instructions are issued by the education department.
