Srinagar Issues Weather Advisory Till January 31
WEATHER ADVISORY
In view of the prevailing inclement weather conditions and the adverse weather forecast indicating widespread light to moderate rain/snow over certain parts of the Kashmir Division, including Srinagar, up to 31st January, 2026, the general public of District Srinagar is hereby advised to refrain from venturing outside their homes and to avoid unnecessary movement on roads, except in cases of absolute necessity.

Further, tourists, local Shikara Wallas, sand miners, and other individuals operating in and around Dal Lake, River Jhelum, and other water bodies are strictly advised not to attempt crossing or operating without first verifying the prevailing conditions and safety status of these water bodies.
In case of any emergency or exigency, the general public may contact the District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC), Srinagar, or the Police Control Room (PCR), Srinagar, for immediate assistance.
