PUBLIC NOTICE FOR DIWALI MELA-2025 ON 14th OCT. 2025
In connection with Diwali Mela-2025 scheduled to be held at Police Parade and Advanced Training Ground (Gulshan Ground) Jammu on 14.10.2025 and to avoid any traffic congestion, the participants arc requested to strictly follow the following Parking arrangements/No Parking areas/ Diversions and instructions for smooth plying of vehicles, so that no inconvenience to the general public as well as participants is caused:
A. PARKING SLOTS

1. Jammu University Parking in front of MAM College for LMVs
2. Zorawar Singh Auditorium Jammu University for LMVs.
3. MAM College Ground for LMVs.
4. Kala Kender, Bikram Chowk for LMVs.
5. JDA Parking in front of Vishal Mega Mart Bahu Plaza for LMVs.
6. Polytechnic College Football ground Bikram Chowk for LMVs.
7. SRTC Yard Bikram Chowk for HMVs/ Mini-Buses.
8. K.K. Hakku Stadium for two Wheelers
9. Tawi River Front for HMVs/ Mini-Buses.
10. Govt. College for Women Gandi Nagar for LMVs.
B. NO PARKING AREAS
1. Bikram Chowk to PHQ Crossing
2. PHQ Crossing to P/S Bagh-e-Bahu
3. PHQ Crossing to Panama Chowk
4. DPL Cut to Panama Chowk.
C. DIVERSIONS
1. All PSVs (Matadors) coming from Narwal, Sunjwan and Channi shall be diverted from Panama Chowk towards Valmiki Chowk to Green Belt Park for their destination.
2. All PSVs (Matadors) coming from North side bound for Channi/Narwal shall be diverted from Dogra Chowk towards Fortune Rivera Cut -Vivekananda Chowk – Gujjar Nagar Bridge – P/S Bagh-e-Bahu Crossing – Qasim Nagar and further towards their destination.
D. INSTRUCTIONS:
1. People coming from Old City via Bikram Chowk shall park their vehicles in MAM College and Jammu University Parking.
2. People coming via Gujjar Nagar Bridge and from Narwal via Qasim Nagar shall park their vehicles in Zoravvar Singh Auditorium.
3. The vehicles coming from Gandhi Nagar/ Trikuta Nagar/ Channi/ Satwari and adjacent area shall park their vehicle in Bahu Plaza/Kala Render parking / JDA Parking Pragti Bhawan/ Corporate Head Office J&K Bank / Polytechnic College Bikram Chowk/SRTC Yard.
4. Those coming on two wheelers shall park their two wheelers in K.K. Hakku Stadium.
5. All Escort Vehicles shall be parked on the following road stretches: –
a. PHQ- MAM College Tube.
b. Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu – PHQ Rotary Tube.
6. All the Buses/Mini-Buses carrying School Children and other participants to the Venue shall be parked at Tawi River Front Parking.
Note :-
1. No vehicle shall be allowed to park on the road around the Venue.
2. People in general are requested to co-operate with the Traffic Police for hassle free vehicular movement of traffic and to avoid any inconvenience to the general public.
