Weather to turn unsettled in JK from March 28; rain, snow likely till March 31
Dry conditions will give way to cloudy skies and spells of rain and snow, with gusty winds and thunderstorms expected across Jammu and Kashmir over the weekend
Jammu and Kashmir is likely to witness a shift in weather conditions over the coming days, with the MET Centre Srinagar forecasting generally dry weather on March 25, followed by increasing cloud cover and precipitation later in the week.
On March 26, the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy, with a spell of light rain or snow at a few places toward the afternoon. Dry conditions are likely to persist through March 27 and until the evening of March 28, after which light rain, snow, thunderstorms, and gusty winds are expected at many places.

The weather is expected to remain largely cloudy between March 29 and 30, with the possibility of light to moderate rain in the plains and snow in the higher reaches.
Thunderstorms and gusty winds reaching speeds of 40-50 kmph may continue till the forenoon of March 31.
On March 31, scattered areas may receive brief spells of light rain or snow, while conditions from April 1 to 4 are expected to range from partly to generally cloudy.

The MET Centre has warned of moderate snowfall over a few higher reaches, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (40-50 kmph) at many places between the night of March 28 and March 30.
