Fresh Snowfall: Winter Vacations For Schools Extended Till March 7
Amid fresh snowfall and forecast for more, authorities on Friday extended winter vacations for schools in Kashmir Valley and winter zones of Jammu till March 7.
Official sources told news agency that the decision in this regard was taken at a meeting chaired by the Minister for School Education Sakina Itoo this morning.
They said the decision followed reports from respective Deputy Commissioners regarding the snowfall as well as prediction for inclement weather in Jammu and Kashmir by the MeT Department.
The schools were originally scheduled to reopen on March 1st after long winter break but now will resume from March 7th.
