India has been elected unopposed to the UN Human Rights Council for the 2026–28 term — the seventh time the country will serve.
PM Modi’s visit to Andhra Pradesh & inaugurations
The Prime Minister is scheduled to visit Andhra Pradesh on 16 October to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of projects worth about ₹13,430 crore, across sectors like roads, railways, power, defence manufacturing and petroleum & gas.
He will also visit the Srisailam temple in Nandyal.
Sri Lankan Prime Minister’s visit to India (16–18 Oct)
Sri Lankan PM Harini Amarasuriya will make her first official visit to India from 16 to 18 October.
