Digital Health Summit

The Regional Open Digital Health Summit is being held in New Delhi (19–20 Nov), organized by the National e-Governance Division, National Health Authority, WHO-SEARO, and UNICEF

Objective: Promote interoperable, standards-based digital health infrastructure in the Global South.

Launch of “YUVA AI for ALL”

The Government of India has launched a free online course called YUVA AI for ALL to train 1 crore (10 million) citizens in basic AI skills.

The course is available on platforms like FutureSkills Prime and iGOT Karmayogi.

AMR (Antimicrobial Resistance) 2.0 Plan

The National Action Plan on AMR 2.0 (2025–2029) was launched by Health Minister J.P. Nadda.

Also, 10 new AMRIT pharmacies (affordable medicines) were inaugurated.

Crop Insurance Expansion

The Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) will now cover:

Crop losses due to wild animal attacks

Inundation of paddy fields (from Kharif 2026)

Unemployment Rate

India’s unemployment rate in October 2025 remained at 5.2%, per CMIE / MoSPI data.

Defense — Counter-Drone Tech

India is set to induct 16 Integrated Drone Detection & Interdiction Systems (IDDS), developed by DRDO.

These use laser-based technology to neutralize drones at a distance.

Earth Summit Begins

The Earth Summit 2025-26 kicks off in Hyderabad on 20 Nov

Organized by NABARD and IAMAI, the summit’s theme: “Empowering Rural Innovation for Global Change.”

Wildlife News — Big Cats

According to a current affairs quiz source, India will host the Global Big Cats Summit in 2026.

Also, a tiger has been found to permanently stay in Ratanmahal Wildlife Sanctuary (Gujarat), making Gujarat the only Indian state with three big cats (lion, leopard, tiger).
