“Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025” Launched
The Ministry of Education (MoE), led by Dharmendra Pradhan, has launched Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025.
It’s a nationwide innovation movement engaging school students.
Themes include Vocal for Local, Atmanirbhar Bharat, Swadeshi, Samriddhi.
Organisers: Department of School Education & Literacy (DoSEL), Ministry of Education, Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, AICTE.
Timeline: Registrations/events from ~23 Sep to 31 Oct 2025; results and felicitation in Jan 2026.
Growth in Core Industries
India’s eight core industries showed growth of ~3% in August 2025 — this is their strongest growth in 13 months.
Particular sectors leading: steel (+14.2%), coal (+11.4%), cement (+6.1%).
Other sectors like fertilizers, electricity, petroleum refinery also showed moderate +ve growth.
Some sectors, such as crude oil & natural gas, saw declines.
New Weekly Amrit Bharat Train Service
A new Amrit Bharat weekly express will run via Nagpur, between Puri / Brahmapur (Odisha) and Surat / Udhna (Gujarat).
Flagged off by PM Narendra Modi on 27 September 2025 as a special service.
The train composition includes modern LHB coaches (22 coaches): 8 Sleeper, 11 General, 1 Pantry, 2 SLRs
RBI Repo Rate to Likely Stay at 5.50% in Next Policy
According to a Reuters poll, most economists expect the Reserve Bank of India to hold its key interest rate (repo rate) at 5.50% in its upcoming meeting (around October 1)
Pull-for holding rate: evaluating effects of previous rate cuts; inflation within target; global uncertainty
Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan Launched in Maharashtra
In Maharashtra, BJP state unit head Ravindra Chavan launched the Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan, running from 25 September to 25 December 2025
Focused on self-reliance, local empowerment, boosting production & support of indigenous industries.

President to Attend Jamboree Event in Lucknow
President Droupadi Murmu will grace the closing ceremony of the 19th Jamboree being organized by Bharat Scouts and Guides, scheduled in Vrindavan Yojana (Defence Expo Ground).
Tent City will be built for the event, accommodating up to 35,000 visitors.
