KU engagement of Lecturers for the Academic arrangement for the Academic Session – 2019
Applications on the prescribed format are invited for engagement of Lecturers on academic arrangements in the following Departments/Campuses for the academic year 2019
Eligibility
The candidates possessing NET/SET/Ph.D. in the relevant subject/discipline with minimum of 55% marks at Post-graduate level are eligible to apply for the post:-
However, desirable qualification in the following subjects shall be as under:
i. Islamic Studies: Proficiency in Arabic I, II, III, IV, Comparative study of Religions, Islam and Science, Muslim Philosophy & IImul Kalam, Islam & Orientalism, GE& OE Courses, Religious Sciences.
ii. Library & Information Science: Open Source, Information Retrieval collection development University Libraries Reference Management Software.
iii. History: Medieval India, Kashmir History, Modern World.
iv. Chemistry: Physical & Organic Chemistry.
v. Earth Science: i) Applied Geology, M.Sc. Applied Geology with NET/SET/Ph.D & ii) Geo-Informatics: M.Sc./M.Tech. in Remote Sensing and GIS or M.Sc. Applied Geology with PG Diploma in Remote Sensing and GIS with at least 55% marks at Masters level or ii) Applicants with NET qualification , Ph.D./M.Phill. with Remote sensing/GIS research experience and teaching experience shall be given preference.
vi. Geography & Regional Development: Disaster Management: Disaster Management /Geology / Applied Geology/ Geography. vii. Management Studies: Management Studies (including Tourism Management) in Main, South and North campuses; i) MBA with specialization in Finance /Marketing/HRM/IT/ MBA(FM)/MFC/MTTM or equivalent; ii) M.Tech/M.Sc. IT/MCA can also apply for IT positions available in Management Studies at Main, South and North Campuses.
viii. CCAS :- Ancient Indian History Culture and Archeology, Indian Architecture. ix. Urdu: Literary trends, Urdu Criticism, Urdu Linguistics.
x. Arabic: Modern Arabic Literature, good command on translation Arabic into English & Vice Versa, Quranic Studies.
xi. Persian: Indo Persian Literature/Manuscript logy, Modern Spoken Persian, and literary criticism.
xii. Foreign Language: PG in German Language (Literature, Civilization, Translation).
xiii. Linguistics: Phonology, Morphology, Computational Linguistics, Stylistics, Translation and Field Linguistics, Sociolinguistics.
xiv. Bio-Resources: Zoology, Botany, Biotechnology, Bio-resources with specialization in Entomology, Animal Resources, Animal Cell and Tissue Technology, Immunology, Parasitological, Bioinformatics.
xv. Home Science: Human Development, Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition.
xvi. Electronics: Ph.D in Electronics/Electronic Engineering or equivalent with 55% marks at PG level or M. Tech in Electronics or equivalent with 55% marks or M.Sc in Electronics or Equivalent with 55% marks at PG level with NET/SET. xvii. Pharmaceutical Sciences: Pharm. Science Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacetics, Pharmacognosy.
xviii. Physical Education & Sports:- Proficiency in games/ Athletics, Sports Biomechanics / Exercise Physiology.
xix. Education:- a) Educational Technology and ICT, Educational Administration, Guidance Counseling/Special Education, Curriculum Development, Statistics in Education/Population Education, b) M.A English/Linguistics with M.Ed or B.Ed. ii) Masters in Zoology/Botany/Physical Science/History with M.Ed or B.Ed.
xx. Computer Science: MCA with NET/SET/Ph.D with 55% marks at PG level. BE/B.Tech(CSE/IT) with ME/M.Tech. (CSE/IT) with 55% marks at PG level.
xxi. B.Tech (CSE) North campus:-PG Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry with NET/ SET/ M.Tech. Mechanical Engineering/Computer Science/Electronic and Communication Engineering.
xxii. Bio-informatics:- Experience and Knowledge of Bio-informatics tools shall be given the preference.
xxiii. Model: Matriculation with 50% marks and certificate in Modeling. * Candidates possessing:- i) MCA with NET/SET/Ph.D or BE/B.Tech (CSE/IT) with M.E M.Tech (CSE/IT) or M.E/M.Tech (CSE/IT) (without undergraduate engineering degree) and with one year teaching experience at P.G level can also apply for IT & SS main Campus.
ii) M.Sc./M.Tech. in Geo-informatics/ Remote Sensing can apply for one of the positions at the Department of Geography.
NOTE
a. Candidates in their own interest are advised to be in touch with the Deans of the concerned Schools about the date, venue and time of the interview.
b. Salary of the appointees shall be paid on the basis of their qualification.
How to apply
Application Forms complete in all respects and attached with relevant documents should be deposited in the offices of the concerned Deans of the Schools at University Campus. Srinagar, by or before 09.03.2019.
