Selection Criteria for the post of Junior Legal Assistant in Advocate General J&K State

The criteria for selection for the post of Junior Legal Assistant is notified for information of the candidates as under:
Written Test = 60 points
Experience = 5 points
(One point for each year subject to maximum of 5 points)
1. Academic Merit (LLB Degree) = 15 points
- Below 50% marks = 3 points
- 50 to 55% marks = 6 points
- 55% to 60% marks = 9 points
- 60% to 65% marks = 12 points
- 65% and above = 15 points
2. Performance of the candidate in viva-voce test := 20 points
Note : The candidate shall be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:3 as per merit obtained on the basis of written examination and that of academic merit, provided further that the candidate(s) who have points equal to those secured by the last candidate shall be called for interview over and above the number of candidates shortlisted for viva-voce.
In a situation where the reserve category secures merit equal to or above the cutoff merit in open category, such a candidate shall be called for oral test in the respective category.
