J&K Govt Class IV Posts final Selection List and Allocation of Cadres and Departments
Final Selection List for remaining Class-IV -Allocation of Cadres & Departments Posts under the provisions of the Jammu & Kashmir Appointment to Class-IV (Special Recruitment) Rules, 2020, advertised vide Notification No. 01
In reference to the above captioned subject, it is to inform that six (06) vacancies, from among the posts earmarked for the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwDBs), sub-category of Low Vision, in the Final Selection List notified for the Class-IV posts vide No.SSB/Secy/Sel/Class-IV/2021/6202-09 dated 06.10.2022 and forwarded to the General Administration Department vide letter No.SSB/Secy/Sel/Class-IV/2021/6273-78 dated 18.10.2022 were.kept Reserved, for want of a clarification with regard to the suitability of the candidates figuring against these posts.
These candidates, who were otherwise figuring against these reserved posts, approached the Hon’ble High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh in case bearing WP(C) PIL No. 29/2020 titled National Federation of Blind V/S UT of J&K & Ors. The Hon’ble High Court passed the following directions in the matter:
“…Accordingly, we direct the respondents to appoint the aforesaid 6 (six) blind candidates with the observation that their appointment will be provisional and will be subject to Outcomne of instant the writ petition.
Their appointments will, of course, be subject to verification of the relevant documents by the appointing authority,..”
Accordingly, the matter was taken up with the General Administration Department, which, vide letter No. GAD-MTGORBIV/290/2022 (7071886) dated 08.05.2024, forwarded the opinion of Department of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs and advised the Board to consider the aforesaid candidates as suitable for these Class-IV posts.
Further, the matter was examined in light of the advice of General AAfdfmairisn istration Department/opinion of Department of Law Justice Parliamentary and placed in the Board for consideration.
The Board, in its 272d meeting held on 27.05.2024, decided to fill the six posts, which have been kept reserved for these candidates in the Final Selection List notified for the Class-IV posts, advertised vide Notification No. 02 of 2020 dated 26.06.2020.
