Jammu University Notice for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in Mathematics

Applications are invited from interested and motivated candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
in a time bound research project entitled “Zeros of some complex harmonic polynomials” sponsored by the
Science & Engineering Research Board for a temporary period purely on contractual basis as per the following
details:

Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

No. of positions: One (01)

Tenure of the Project: 3 years (2 Years JRF + 1 Year SRF after evaluation)

Essential Qualification: M.Sc. degree in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics with First class (or at least 6.5
CGPA) from a recognized university or equivalent. NET/GATE qualified candidate is desirable. In case of
non-availability of NET qualified candidate, non-NET candidate will be appointed.

Age Limit: The upper age limit shall be 28 years. Age relaxation is allowed up to 5 years for scheduled castes/tribes, women, physically handicapped and OBC candidates.
Emoluments:
For NET/GATE qualified candidates Rs. 37,000/- + HRA per month (for first two years)
Rs. 42,000/- + HRA per month (for third year)
For Non-NET/GATE qualified candidates Rs. 25,000/- + HRA per month

Duration: Based on performance in the first year, the appointment could be extended till the end of project.

The appointment of JRF will be purely temporary, time bound, non-regular; the candidate has no legal right to
claim his/ her regularisation/appointment.

Interview: Eligible candidates will be informed about the date of interview. All applicants are required to bring
their original documents on the date of interview. Candidates whose result of qualifying examination has not
been declared so far can also apply. However, they have to produce the result at the time of interview. No TA/DA
will be provided for appearing in the interview.
